Sunrise Christian School had plenty of fun planned this Thursday, with a Crazy Sock and Tie Day, a sausage sizzle, and a Father’s Day Basketball Match and Stall!
And it was all for a good cause – all of the money raised on the day went to the “Farmers in Drought” fundraiser.
The Crazy Sock and Tie Day was a hoot, with staff and students getting dressed up in their best and brightest accessories. It was a dollar to join in the fun.
Then at 12.50-1.20pm the Year Sevens took on some local dads, with other fathers watching and cheering from the sidelines with their children. Chris Castine was the umpire, and a fair and fast game was had.
The tuck shop ladies kept busy with a sausage sizzle (also part of the fundraiser), as well as creating many baked treats.
To top it all off there was a table of gifts for Father’s Day. Organised and run by Amber Holmes, kids ordered what they wanted from a catalogue before picking up their present. All gifts were five dollars.
