Meals on Wheels are desperate for more volunteers. They are relying on emergency contacts for some rounds. If you would like to become a volunteer, please call 0438 266 149.
Meals on Wheels is not only an organisation which has an immeasurable impact on people’s lives, but the Naracoorte branch of Meals on Wheels is also making history.
They are the first hospital base kitchen to provide clients with a choice menu. Volunteers please notes that it will be 11.30am pickup and delivery sheets will be marked as follows from Monday September 17: any client having second choice will be in yellow, and main choice will be in white.
Paul Neilson, Dave McRostie and Lisa Fewins will meet volunteers at the hospital next Monday to explain the new delivery format.
Once you join Meals on Wheels, you’ll love it. On August 14 Naracoorte Meals on Wheels held their annual general meeting. Awards were presented to Joy Davies for 45 years of service and Paul Carracher for 20 years of service.
Whilst absent from the meeting, H. Hack, K. Streeter, and J. McShane received 15 years of service awards. G. Miles was also unable to attend, but received a 20 years of service award.
