SANFL clinic held at Sunrise school

Yesterday at the Sunrise Christian school they spent the whole day being tutored by SANFL’s Craig Kempe.

There were six sessions for all year levels, beginning with reception and ending with Year Seven. The students learned basics such as warm ups, kicking, handballs, drills, and team games.

The visit was coordinated by teacher Aaron Haines, and is part of a sporting schools government initiative. As part of the initiative the school gets $2000 worth of funding for equipment and resources.

As Sunrise have been learning about Australian Rules for the past 4-5 weeks, the SANFL clinic fit into the theme.

On Tuesday Naracoorte Primary also had an SANFL clinic.
