Longridge receive new equipment from auxiliary fundraising efforts

Thanks to the incredible fundraising efforts of the Ladies Auxiliary, Longridge now have more equipment that is suitable for their high care residents.

The new equipment includes a weigh scale, which is for residents who are unable to stand. Instead they can be weighed via a sling.

They also have four tilted shower chairs for high care residents, which give them ease of access and comfort.

And for residents that are bedfast, they now have pressure care mattresses.

The Auxiliary team work with Quality Risk Manager Heather Kiernan to establish what equipment Longridge needs for its residents, and then get to work on making it happen.

The Ladies Auxiliary are currently fundraising to get a new bus for Longridge. Their current bus is twenty years old, so a more modern and comfortable bus is needed.

To support Longridge getting a new bus there is going to be a movie fundraiser on Saturday October 20. Ladies in Black will be showing, with doors opening at 6.30pm for a 7pm movie start.

Get into the spirit by wearing black with your girlfriends, and enjoy a complementary glass of champagne on your arrival. There will also be grazing platters.

Tickets are $30 and are available from Longridge Aged Care. There will also be a raffle on the night, with the opportunity to win a fantastic prize pack.
