Not-for-profit community housing provider, Unity Housing, hosted a series of spring parties for their tenants, including a party in Naracoorte. The event was also a celebration of Unity’s 10th year of providing safe, affordable and secure homes for thousands of South Australians.
The party, held on Thursday at the Naracoorte Town Square, featured face painting, balloon animals, therapeutic drumming, a free raffle, a vertical garden display, a free barbecue and coffee machine, and a presentation by the local CFS.
The barbecue was cooked by local Unity Housing staff, with the help of Unity’s Executive Team. The Limestone Coast Team Leader took on the role of barista for the day, giving out coffees as the tenants enjoyed the sunshine.
The interactive activities focused on collaboration and creativity, with all cultures, ages, and abilities taking part.
“It’s about celebrating our tenants, of the talent, knowledge and skills that they possess,” Unity Housing’s Tenant Engagement Officer, Anthony Hooper, said.
“They all have a wealth of experience that they can bring to the community.”
