Over 200 people came to Balharry Memorial Kindergarten’s first ever film fundraiser on November 2, selling out the Naracoorte Town Hall and raising money to upgrade the kindy.
Everything fell into place on the night – there was the hit film (A Star is Born), a complimentary glass of wine on arrival, delicious grazing platters that had been made by local families, and a raffle that offered incredible prizes for lucky punters.
The committee were on hand to make sure that everything ran like clockwork, and Emily Savage came up with the idea.
Raffle prizes were donated from both Naracoorte and Lucindale businesses, and all of the funds raised on the night went towards helping the kindy improve their current facilities and resources, as well as make plans for a nature play playground.
The committee would like to thank the community for their strong support in making the night a success.
