Ambrose Golf Day and Open Garden Day to raise money for Cancer Council SA

The Naracoorte Branch of Cancer Council SA have planned a busy end to 2018, and are in the midst of putting the final touches on the last fundraisers for the year: an ambrose golf day at the Lucindale Country Club, and an open garden afternoon.

The Lucindale Country Club in association with Cancer Council SA (Naracoorte Branch) invite you to Tee Off for Cancer Research, a four person ambrose golf day on Sunday November 18.

Hit off starts at 10.30am, and it’s $30 per player which includes a barbecue lunch. All proceeds will go to Cancer Council SA.

There will be prizes galore for men, ladies and mixed teams, and the usual NTP’s and Long Drives. Non golfers are more than welcome to attend, and individuals can be sorted into composite teams on the day.

Entries and enquiries can be made to Jacki Baker (87 689 074 or 0438 824 861) or Leanne Graetz (0409 557 031).

Pre-entry of teams is desirable for catering purposes by November 14. Also, to comply with liquour licensing laws there is to be no BYO alcohol on the Country Club site.

The Lucindale Country Club have been on board with the Cancer Council SA (Naracoorte Branch) for a few years now, and the Branch is grateful for their continued support.

If golf isn’t your thing, there will also be an Open Garden and Music Afternoon on November 25 at 7 Kowree Court Naracoorte, from 2pm until 5pm.

Stroll through the relaxing garden and enjoy live music from local band 15 Days. There will be market stalls where you can browse for gifts, before sitting down to a delicious homemade afternoon tea.

The Branch are very thankful for all of the strong community support that they have received so far during the year, as shown by the huge success of the Kyby Turns Pink Day.

They are very grateful to the Kyby football and netball club for their continued support, as they do an amazing job focusing on awareness, and pushing for a cancer-free future by raising much needed funds.

To finish out the year, volunteers from the Branch will be at the charity shop in Robertson Street each Friday for the month of December.

The charity shop will be open from 10am to 2pm on these days (below), and customers can select quality items for sale, and homebaked goodies.
