Red Cross are credited with building a better society based on people helping people, and their vision is "human dignity, safety and wellbeing for all".
This vision strongly correlates with the values and focus of the Naracoorte South Primary School, and as a result they believe in supporting the Red Cross, to the benefit of all.
Students were encouraged to wear red clothing to promote the awareness of Red Cross and the work that they do. They also brought along a gold coin donation, and the school raised $208.
As a school, children also got together with their buddy classes and presented them with a little gift that they had made for them. As a result, each child in the school received something special made for them.
It was a lovely way to celebrate kindness and the act of giving. It also tied in with the whole school intention that they are focussing on at the moment, which is "showing empathy and responding to others".
