Lucindale has been announced as the venue for the 2019 Triple J One Night Stand.
The town has been campaigning for the massive annual musical extravaganza for nearly a decade.
A statement from Triple J:
"Over the past 16 years we've taken our FREE, all ages live music concerts to remote and regional towns all over the country, from St Helens, TAS (2018) to Mount Isa, QLD (2017) and Geraldton, WA (2016).
"This year, on Saturday September 14, we're taking Hilltop Hoods, Meg Mac, Ocean Alley and G Flip to Lucindale on the idyllic South Australian Limestone Coast, which is cosied up to the Victorian border and only a few hours away from Adelaide.
"With a population of around 500 people, it's one of the smallest towns we've ever thrown a concert in and it's the first time in eight years the concert series has been back to South Australia - last time was Tumby Bay in 2011.
"On the importance of hosting the 2019 One Night Stand, Mayor Erika Vickery OAM says:
'We are very excited to have been selected to host the triple j One Night Stand featuring some of Australia's best acts.
'We're looking forward to showing off Lucindale to the rest of Australia. This is an opportunity for our young people to experience a fantastic event which provides a platform to highlight the youth in our community.
'This event will show that small communities, such as Lucindale, can do incredible things.'
"Indeed, the Lucindale community have proven time and again that they can come together to make good things happen, like building a skate park and Community Health Centre... and running a very long campaign to host the One Night Stand.
"The grassroots campaign began with a Lucindale ONS Facebook page in 2012 and in the seven years since, it's built up approximately 6000 likes, which accounts for everybody in town, as well as the neighbouring towns.
"It may have taken us a few years to get to Lucindale, but we're psyched to introduce the tiny town and its rad residents to the rest of Australia.
"But if you can't make it to Lucindale, don't worry! We'll be playing you all the best bits in a special live broadcast on your radio and the triple j app on Saturday 14 September. We'll also be sharing videos, photos and music news via our socials and the triple j website throughout the day."
