Apsley and District Motorsport Club had a fun day at the old Apsley racecourse on June 9.
The day marked the end of the 2018/19 season.
With rain expected in the afternoon, the six cars got in plenty of races in the morning, none of which contributed to the points tally.
All drivers had fun and there was a bit of panel beating to be done after. They raced all together and also in pairs, enjoying a fast track which was slippery in parts causing some off-roading.
Out on the track, three generations from the one family all had a go driving. 11-year-old Jayden Garner had his first drive on the track, trying out his dad's car and two others. He looks forward to becoming a regular.
Jayden's dad, Joe Garner, raced on the day and races regularly while Joe's dad Jim Garner had his first race since about 1983, bringing back some memories.
With the close of the race season, stay tuned for the start of the 2019/20 season later this year.
