Naracoorte property damage: Teenagers arrested

Two teenagers have been arrested after several incidents of property damage in Naracoorte last weekend.

Police will allege that two 15-year-old boys, both of Naracoorte damaged a school, church and a hairdresser's salon during July 13-14.

The two boys were arrested on Sunday July 14 and charged with property damage. One of the boys was remanded in custody, and the other was bailed to appear in the Naracoorte Youth Court on August 9.

Police have arrested a boy after he stole a motorcycle in Naracoorte in June.

It will be alleged that the 15-year-old Naracoorte boy stole a Yamaha motorbike from a ute parked in Grieve Avenue. The bike was later recovered, and this week police arrested the youth and charged him with illegal use of a motor vehicle.

He has been bailed to appear in the Naracoorte Youth Court on August 9.

A man will appear in court after he was caught drink-driving in Penola on Thursday.

Police will allege that about 5.40pm on Thursday July 18, a police patrol stopped a Holden sedan on Church Street, and the driver underwent a breath test, returning a positive reading of 0.111.

The 22-year-old man from Robe was reported for exceeding the prescribed concentration of alcohol. He was issued a six-month immediate loss of licence notice and will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
