Those looking to enter the 2019 Naracoorte Show have just a few days to get their entries in, with most sections closing next Monday, October 14.

This year, the show on October 19, is helping the Naracoorte Caves commemorate 25 years since it was proclaimed SA's only World Heritage Listed Site, with special competition classes in photography and art.

The feature cake to be judged on show day is a cake decorated in the Caves theme.

Naracoorte Show publicity officer Catherine Miller says the 156th show will be a great way to showcase the talents of the region with hundreds of classes across 22 sections.

"We're really hoping families will make the most of the school holidays to get creative with their children and decorate a boot, or a pet rock or build something out of lego," she said.

"It's always great watching the young ones race into the pavilion to see if they have won a ribbon or have a prize card near their entry with these fond memories lasting a lifetime."

But Ms Miller says the show is for all ages, including a unique new competition challenge for the 'grey nomads' and other 4WD enthusiasts.

In the competition, they will be judged on how they set up their vehicle and camp site with all the essentials as if they are heading to Queensland's Cape York.

Ms Miller says there are also plenty of competitions which can be entered on the actual show day, including the livestock and wool Young Judges section, the Children's Pet Show and Dog High Jump.

There's also the ever popular Limestone Coast Ute Muster.

Last year the muster attracted 35 utes from across SA and Victoria, but committee members have been drumming up interest at last weekend's Deni Ute Muster in NSW and are hoping even more will shine up their utes this year.

"This year's show has been months in the planning by our small, hard-working committee so now it's up to the community to get involved and get into the show spirit - just have a go," Ms Miller said.

The show office on Sandstone Avenue will be open from 9am on October 14 to receive entries, or they can be emailed in to naracoorteshow@outlook.com.
