Naracoorte won the LSEHA division two women's hockey grand final last month.
Taking on Tigers in stunning weather, the scene was set for a hotly contested battle.
Tigers brought their form from two weeks prior and started with some early attack, before Naracoorte managed to settle and follow up with a short burst forward.
For much of the first quarter, the game was heavily battled through the midfield, with defences managing to hold, however persistent attack on the rebound by Naracoorte led to Angela McLean nabbing a sneaky goal.
Tigers pushed forward, securing a couple of short corners near the end of the quarter but Naracoorte's defence held out strong.
Further play through the midfield for both sides continued in the second quarter, with both sides having opportunities in the circle. A Tigers hit out of defence was blocked and with some quick passing Naracoorte's Sile Legoe slotted the ball into the goal.
Naracoorte kept the momentum going, applying forward pressure that secured two short corners.
They were unable to make them count and had to hold off a surge forward by Tigers that led to a short corner at the other end of the ground. Both teams continued to drive forward but were held by the opposition's defence.
Tigers won multiple short corners but were unable to convert as time approached the half time break.
It was a hot day for hockey and both teams needed to keep up the hydration during the breaks.
Tigers came out strong in the second half, putting serious pressure on Naracoorte to hold its lead.
A Tigers break away powered up the field, bypassing the Naracoorte defence and requiring Naracoorte's goalie to make a diving save just in time.
Tigers kept pressing up the field, with their high playing forwards putting Naracoorte's defence under pressure. A short corner awarded as the three-quarter time buzzer rang, meant the break had to wait.
Three short corners had to be played as Naracoorte kept its defence working hard, managing to hold on tight to their 2-0 lead.
The midfield battle resumed in the final quarter, with Tigers eager to get a score on the board. Naracoorte was determined to hold onto their lead, managing to push their way forward for some late attack on the Tigers defence.
As the final buzzer sounded, the Division 2 trophy was bound for Naracoorte as they held the score at 2-0.
Congratulations also to Gayle Ellis on being awarded grand final player of the match.
