Volunteers from Naracoorte CFS, SA Ambulance Service Penola and SA Police gathered at the CFS shed on Saturday to speak to locals about what it takes to be a volunteer.
Despite the windy weather, Naracoorte CFS Brigade captain Steve Hosking said it was a "really good" day.
"It was a bit cold and breezy. We had quite a few come through and received really positive feedback."
Guests were given the chance to ask any questions about being an emergency services volunteer, and were treated to a sausage sizzle and a warm cup of coffee.
Mr Hosking said the emergency services across the region are always on the hunt for more volunteers, and he encourages anyone who's willing, to put their hand up.
