Former Lucindale junior footballer Will Gould has been drafted to Sydney in tonight's AFL National Draft.
Gould was selected by the Swans with pick number 26.
Gould played his junior football at Lucindale and was also a member of the Roos' KNTFL A grade premiership as a 16-year-old in 2017.
He has already racked up an impressive list of career achievements, including making the all-Australian under 18 team twice, captaining the state team and winning a senior SANFL premiership with Glenelg in 2019.
Gould is the son of Richard and Jane Gould. Richard won the 1994 KNTFL league medal playing for Lucindale.
Lucindale now has two players in the AFL system after Darcy Fogarty was drafted by the Adelaide Crows in 2017. Jordan Dawson from Robe also plays at Sydney.
