The Lucindale Community Pool was officially opened to the public on Friday morning.
Member for MacKillop Nick McBride was welcomed by the school and together with other key drivers of the project to replace the ageing former pool, was involved in a ribbon cutting ceremony.
The $1.2 million project was partly funded by a $97,000 contribution from the Stand Like Stone Foundation and a $150,000 contribution from the local community.
The pool is equipped with heating pumps which will allow it to be used all year round.
"Thank you to everyone who has helped. Thank you to the many contributors who raised the $1.2 million," Mr McBride said.
"It is my great pleasure on behalf of the South Australian Government to officially declare the Lucindale Area School and Community Pool open."
