They'll be off and racing at the Naracoorte Racing Club's festive family day on Sunday, December 29.
If you're needing a break from the hectic Christmas-New Year period, or need to find a way to entertain the kids for the day, the races could be the answer.
With a family focus, the day will feature free children's activities including face painting, jumping castle, arts and crafts and more.
Gates open at 11.30am, general admission entry is $10, concession $5 and under 16s free. There will be seven races, with full bar, food and betting facilities available.
Local trainers have been enjoying a strong run of late, with Sue Jaensch claiming the Bordertown Cup last Sunday and Sue Murphy also training a winner on the day.
The annual Naracoorte Cup will be run on Sunday, February 9, 2020, again as part of the Taste the Limestone Coast Festival.
