With just over one week to go, the Lucindale Show committee members are making sure everything is in order for the big day.
The Herald spoke with Show president Colleen Smith and Show secretary Laura Rivett about their expectations for the February 29 event.
Laura said the last 12 months of planning are coming together, with some final touches still to be made.
The 121st Lucindale Show will have something for everyone to enjoy.
"We have a great line-up of show rides this year including, a mechanical surfboard, giant basketball, leaps and bounds inflatable, and more.
"A toddler play area with jumping castle and ride on electric animals."
The Apex train will be at this year's show, as well as entertainment from Wizzbang the Magician.
There will also be the dunking machine, which organisers are hoping will create some laughs, with town 'celebrities' volunteering to get dunked.
The indoor exhibits are always worth a look with plenty to see; children's artwork, produce, large wool display and more.
This year, Lucindale is hosting the Sunbeam rich fruit cake and Genoa Cake semi-finals, along with the CWA/Lauke Scone regional final.
As well as being the Show president, Colleen also takes on the huge role of horse convenor.
"The horse section is a huge part of the Lucindale Show," she said.
"We have two days of dressage and show jumping, as well as hacking, casual, topsy and breed classes."
On Sunday we also have Harness, and the SA state stock horse futurity & Maturity events. We cater for everyone, and competitors travel from all over SA and Vic.
Live Music from Leah Briggs will entertain the crowds while the children play.
Full catering options, show bags, trade sites, and a wonderful atmosphere make this event a fun family day out.
The committee is always on the hunt for volunteers to lend a hand on the day, manning rides and the entry gates. Anyone interested can contact Laura Rivett on 0427 350 024.
