St George Illawarra have recalled Corey Norman for Friday's NRL match against Parramatta in a game which could be Paul McGregor's last as Dragons coach.

The Dragons are reportedly set to discuss McGregor's future at a board meeting next Tuesday.

A win over the third-placed Eels could grant McGregor a stay of execution and he's turned to Norman a week after dropping the Queensland State of Origin representative for the game against Sydney Roosters.

Norman is one of three changes to the team which lost 24-16 to the premiers, with Jacob Host and Korbin Sims the other additions to the 17.

Norman will start at five-eighth with Ben Hunt moving back to hooker and Cameron McInnes starting at lock.

Tariq Sims (shoulder), Jackson Ford (suspension) and Trent Merrin are the outs with Tyrell Fuimaono to start in the backrow.

Eels forward Ryan Matterson will make his return after being sidelined since a sickening head clash against former club Wests Tigers in round 11.

The Tigers meanwhile have named Jacob Liddle to make a return from an ACL issue against Canterbury in place of Billy Walters, who suffered a season-ending knee injury last weekend.

Despite not playing for the past 12 months, Tigers teammate Josh Aloiai believes Liddle is one of the fittest players at the club.

"It'll be one of the great stories for him to come back and play NRL again, I will be so happy for him," Aloiai said.

The bottom-placed Bulldogs have made two changes with Jack Cogger joining Kieran Foran in the halves while Lachlan Lewis is suspended and Kerrod Holland replacing injured Jake Averillo (hip) in the centres.

Embattled Brisbane have named Ben Te'o in their starting lineup to replace Tevita Pangai Jr for Saturday's match against Canberra following his stand down for breaching COVID protocols while 22-year-old Jordan Riki will make his NRL debut from the bench.

The Raiders are unchanged with hooker Siliva Havili overcoming a triceps injury.

Newcastle welcome back Daniel Saifiti from injury at prop, with brother Jacob dropping to the bench and Brodie Jones out of the squad to play Manly.

The injury-hit Sea Eagles have named Brad Parker after a head knock with Taniela Paseka replacing injured prop Addin Fonua-Blake (knee).

Marty Taupau has been named but will need to pass HIA protocols while Curtis Sironen (knee) and Joel Thompson (ankle) both return.

Scott Drinkwater returns to North Queensland's lineup at fullback for Saturday's home match against South Sydney, with Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow moving to the wing and Justin O'Neill omitted to rest a chronic knee injury.

John Asiata returns on the bench in place of Tom Gilbert for the 14th-placed Cowboys with Jaydn Su'a coming back from suspension for the Rabbitohs.

The Warriors have moved Lachlan Burr into their starting lineup to face ladder leaders Penrith with Jack Hetherington suspended while the Panthers are unchanged.

Josh Morris will return for Thursday's SCG blockbuster between the Roosters and Melbourne, with halfback Kyle Flanagan a chance to return for the Tricolours after being named in jersey 21.

The Storm have named Ryley Jacks at five-eighth in place of injured Cameron Munster with Ryan Papenhuyzen and Dale Finucane back after being rested for last weekend's win over the Bulldogs.
