The SACWA Limestone Ladies have a jam-packed calendar for the coming months.
Last week the group, in partnership with the Naracoorte CWA Branch, held a Trading Table in Smith St, with plenty of treats up for grabs.
President Andrea Buckett said the Limestone Ladies formed in 2015, when a call was put out to form a CWA group with younger members.
"At the time, 54 women turned up to the interest meeting and from that we started the Limestone Ladies," she said,
"We have been going strong ever since - it's ebbs and flows a bit, and we are always keen to pick up new members."
The group has a full schedule of events this year, thanks to a large grant from Grants SA.
"We have our calendar of events at the moment, there are lots of exciting things on there," she said.
"We are doing a lot of workshops, we getting Sophie Thomson of Sophie's Patch here and The Diggers Club from Adelaide.
"Sophie has just confirmed, so we are very excited - she only had one weekend left in March that she could do and we've booked her in.
"We have a resin workshops coming up and we have done an upcycling furniture workshop.
"Our theme for the grant was self-sustainability. It has been very relevant this year - saving money and doing things yourself - and a lot of the gardening workshops we have coming up are relevant since everyone wants to get out in the garden at the moment."
Workshops are open to all community members.
As well as workshops, the group also does fundraising for important causes in the community.
"We have been fundraising for the last five years for the maternity ward at the hospital - we have helped purchase couches for the lounge room and at the moment, we are printing some plaques that people purchased to raise money for the maternity ward," Mrs Buckett said.
"They will be hung hopefully in the next month or so and then we will give them the remaining funds.
"We are always looking for things to fundraise for in the community, we enjoy doing that, so if there are any community groups or anything that needs fundraising for, we are keen to hear ideas."
The CWA Limestone Ladies is always open for new members, and Mrs Buckett said there were lots of reasons to join.
"Some people like to come for the social events, whereas others really love the workshops, and others just like to fundraise and feeling like they are doing things for the community.
"It is so great that there are so many young people coming along and wanting to be a part of it.
"We welcome anybody, even those who have been members in the past, you are always welcome back."
