HOME RUN: Naracoorte Rangers are looking for new players for the upcoming season.

As the end of the year draws nearer, so does the 2020/2021 baseball season so the Naracoorte Rangers Baseball Club is on the hunt for new players.

The season is due to start in mid-October and the club will field a division 3 seniors team in the Mount Gambier & District Baseball League.

Club president Ashley Cross said that while the seniors team was looking for players aged 17 and older, players of all ages were welcome.

"We are a great, family-based club," he said.

"We don't have enough for a kids team at the moment, but it would be nice.

"We do have a couple of kids in the club, and some of them play down in Mount Gambier, they filled in for the teams there.

"If there are any that do want to play, they can come and do training with the kids we have here."

Cross said beginners are welcome.

"We will take anyone, we are happy to teach people how to play, we can organise uniforms and we have some equipment for people that starting out to borrow," he said.

"If anyone wants to have a go at it, they are welcome to come out to a training and see how they like it."

The club will be holding their AGM on Sunday, September 27 at 256 Cedar Ave from 11am with the AGM to start at 12:30.

New members are always welcome and the AGM will be a great time to meet club members and get involved.
