Naracoorte Rotary Club has been very busy lately raising money for a number of important causes.

On Monday, the club 'lifted the lid' on Mental Health with a hat day, where all members wore a special hat.

The club hosted guest speaker Natala Drew from the Naracoorte and Districts Suicide Prevention Network, who talked about her own battle with mental health and suicide.

Members donated funds and bought raffle tickets, with all funds being donated to Australian Rotary Health.

Coming up on Rotary's full calendar, the club will be holding a number of public fundraisers in November to help raise money for Rotary International.

Enjoy Afternoon Tea in the Garden on Sunday, November 8, to help raise funds for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

In addition to a lovely afternoon tea, the crowd will be entertained by pianist/vocalist Alice Fang.

Tickets are $15 a head and can be purchased by calling Murray on 0409 672 397 or Julie on 0418 825 199.

Later in the month, watch the award winning film about Australian singer, the late Helen Reddy, while also helping to raise money for a good cause.

The Rotary Club will be holding a special screening of the film I am Woman at the Naracoorte Town Hall on November 13.

Funds raised will go towards Rotary International's Polio Plus Program.

There will be drinks and nibbles served from 7.00pm, with the film to begin at 7.30pm.

The movie is rated M.

Tickets are $20 a head, numbers are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Tickets available from Terry White Chemmart, by phone or by emailing mjburdett@internode.on.net.
