Women that are eager to give soccer a try can head down to at a Come-and-Try information night at the Naracoorte United Soccer Club tonight.

Naracoorte United is hoping to get women on the field next season, and club president Jon Thurlow said the club was hopeful that they could find enough player to field three women's teams - under 13s, under 16s and senior women.

"Our goal for the year is to build new change rooms, so we will have female change rooms here, and then we will try and get two out of the three teams," he said

"If we can get at least two, that will be massive.

"I would like to see it played on the same day as the men, so I am pushing for that. That will mean we'll have to play both pitches at once, which would be great.

"This year there is a possibility we can go from four teams last season to eight this year, if we got enough interest in boys under 17s and the three women's teams.

"If we doubled our teams, that would be amazing - even if we just have two, that would be amazing."

The information night will start at 6.30pm tonight at the Naracoorte soccer fields.

Under 13s and 16s should bring sneakers and a water bottle, as the club will run a few drills and have a short game.

If you are unable to make the information night, don't despair, as it is not too late to get involved.

Contact Jon on 0427 608 243 or Hayley Fulton on 0437 104 723 if you are interested in playing in this exciting competition.

Players of all skill levels are welcome.

Preseason will start on February 3.
