Limestone Coast Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Lucindale.

Just before 11pm, Sunday 28 February, police in the area located flames coming from a house on Potts Road.

CFS attended and extinguished the blaze, unfortunately the house was extensively damaged. Thankfully no-one was home at the time of the fire.

The fire is being treated as suspicious and Forensic Investigators are attending from Adelaide.

Police are investigating possible links between the fire and a fatal crash an hour late at Avenue, in which a 58-year-old Kingston man died.

Just before midnight on Sunday 28 February police were called to Avenue Range Road following reports of a single car roll over.

The driver and sole occupant of the Holden Sedan sadly died at the scene.

Major Crash Investigators have flown to the scene from Adelaide to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Avenue Range Road was currently closed for several hours while police examined the scene.

The man's death is the 17th life lost on SA road's compared with 16 at the same time last year.

It was a very busy weekend for Limestone Coast Police, who were also called to a suspicious grass fire at Nangwarry, a vehicle fire at Dismal Swamp, break-ins at Mount Burr and drink drivers in Kingston and Robe.
