Harmony Day will be celebrated in Naracoorte with an annual Children's Festival in the Naracoorte Town Square at 10am. Children from local schools and pre-schools will sing and dance to reinforce the Harmony Day theme of "Everyone Belongs". In the evening, celebrations will move to the Naracoorte Swimming Lake for the Wish Festival at 6-8pm with free entertainment by local performers and tasting plates by multicultural groups. The swimming lake kiosk will also be open and major event sponsor Teys will provide a barbecue. The evening will conclude as the sun is setting by floating a wish lantern on the swimming lake. The wish lanterns have been generously provided by Teys and will be available on the night. If people want to decorate the lanterns beforehand, they can also be collected now from the Visitor Information Centre on Macdonnell St.

Munda Art Exhibition
Mount Gambier Aboriginal artist Munda will be in residence at the Naracoorte Regional Art Gallery this Saturday from 10am. Munda exhibited at the gallery as one of the artists featured in last year's South Australian Living Artists' event's but this time he is staging his own solo exhibition which will run from 10 March to 21 April.

427 Army Cadet Unit open day
Open for anyone interested in having a look at what the Cadets have been doing, and you will have the opportunity to talk to cadets and staff about what Army Cadets is all about. It will be held from 12pm to 2pm at Naracoorte High School. There will be displays and information about cadets, and a gold coin barbeque lunch. Everyone welcome.

Carpe Diem will be at the Naracoorte Town Hall on Wednesday 31 March. Written by Arts and Health production company Centre Stage Scripts, it is a live theatre performance that addresses mental health care in rural communities. Starring acclaimed actors John Voce and Grant Piro, Carpe Diem is a contemporary portrayal of everyday Australian males dealing with issues of health, grief, loss and depression. There will be a BBQ starting at 6.30pm and the show begins at 7.30pm. Numbers are limited so bookings are essential. Phone the Naracoorte Visitor Information Centre on 8762 1399.
Task Force 72's National Annual regatta
Naracoorte Swimming Lake will host Task Force 72's 25th anniversary National Annual Regatta on April 10-11. Task Force 72 is a group of scale model ship enthusiasts who specialise in building military and non-military model ships to a uniform scale of 1:72. Activities over the regatta weekend will include model displays and a sunset sail. More information is available at www.taskforce72.org

Held on the 2nd Saturday of every month, you can find local produce, homemade goods, arts and crafts, bric-a-brac and more.
