School children from around the region will help to celebrate Harmony Day in Naracoorte tomorrow.
Harmony Day is a celebration of inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values, and the school children around the region will be helping to celebrate the occasion in the Naracoorte Town Square tomorrow.
A children's festival will beheld in the square from 10am, where children from local schools and pre-schools will sing and dance to reinforce the Harmony Day theme of "Everyone Belongs".
Everyone is invited to come along and join in.
The fun does not stop there, with a Wish Festival being held at the Swimming lake from 6pm to 8pm tomorrow evening.
There will be free entertainment by local performers and tasting plates by multicultural groups. The swimming lake kiosk will also be open and major event sponsor Teys will provide a barbecue.
The evening will conclude as the sun is setting by floating a wish lantern on the swimming lake.
The wish lanterns have been generously provided by Teys and will be available on the night. If people want to decorate the lanterns beforehand, they can also be collected now from the Visitor Information Centre on Macdonnell St.
