The Naracoorte Swimming Lake came alive on Friday for the Harmony Day Wish Festival

It was a beautiful sight at the Naracoorte Swimming Lake on Friday night, with more than 500 locals mingling and celebrating Harmony Day at the Naracoorte Wish Festival.

With delicious food being served by Teys Australia, the Lao community and the Limestone Coast Multicultural Network, there was plenty for everyone.

There was excellent entertainment provided by the Naracoorte Highland Band, Mosquito Plains Strummers, Fat Bottomed Girls Trio, the Filipino band, and Samoan dancers.

The highlight of the evening was the floating of the lanterns.

Locals wrote wishes, prayers and messages on paper lanterns and then floated them in the Naracoorte Swimming Lake.
