Naracoorte Art Gallery Open Day

Naracoorte Art Gallery is holding an Open Day. There will be two sessions, Exploring Drawing and Valuable Volunteers. Naracoorte artists, Julie Earl and Alison Rowe will be the tutors for the two-hour drawing workshop from 10am. There will be a tour of the Gallery at 1.30pm which will look at the current exhibition, the permanent collection of art works, the reading and research resources available and touch on the history of the building and Gallery. The tour will be followed by coffee and cake. Bookings are essential for Covid regulations and catering. Phone the Gallery on 8762 3390 today and leave a message.

The Penola Women Project

To learn more about some of the pioneering women of Penola, visit The Penola Women Project, by the Penola Terra Rossa Branch of the CWA, which will be open at John Riddoch Centre, 27 Arthur St, Penola every day in May 10am-4pm. The group has put together the exhibit to portray some of the women who came to the region for love, work or grew, as part of a family, to weave a rich tapestry of individuals striving to enrich the lives of all. To date, the exhibition encompasses eight women in each category: 'They Came for Love', 'They Came for Work' and 'Mothers and Daughters'

Captured Images Naracoorte Photography Club Exhibition.

The club will be holding their 9th exhibition at the Naracoorte Art Gallery. Pop in and see the wonderful images captured by the club's talented members. The Camera Club meet on the 2nd Wednesday of the month in the Naracoorte Art Gallery at 7:30pm and new members are always welcome.

Demon Ball

Dust off your dancing shoes and lock in your babysitters because the Demon Ball is back. Tickets are $50, and include live music, supper and a free drink on arrival. Naracoorte Cars and Coffee Cruise

Cars will be on display from 8am to 10am at the Sheep's Back Museum Complex, followed by a cruise. Everyone is welcome.

Historic Vehicle Club Markets

Held on the 2nd Saturday of every month, you can find local produce, plants, homemade goods, arts and crafts, bric-a-brac and more. There will be a Sausage sizzle available and the historic vehicle display will be open. Open from 8 to 11.30am at the Sheep's Back Museum Complex. New stallholders welcome. Nunga Screen

Nunga Screen will return to Naracoorte this year with a series of films connecting communities through strong, unique stories. The short film showcase is held annually on Reconciliation Week across South Australia, produced by Country Arts SA. Naracoorte Town Hall, July 5 at 7pm.
