The annual Carter's Naracoorte Foodland Christmas Pageant and Street Party will swing into action on Friday, December 3, so bring the family down for a jolly good time to see in the silly season.

Brett Rumball, president of the Naracoorte Business and Tourism Association, said: "It is an event the kids look forward to, and more so this year coming out of COVID-19 restrictions, people are wanting to get out and about."

There's a change of venue due to COVID safety this year, so get down to the Naracoorte Showgrounds from 5pm to see the pageant at 6pm, and stick around for the after party from 7pm.

"We've got a bar this year which we don't normally have, and a little bit of wine tasting as well, but it is still a family-friendly atmosphere," Mr Rumball said.

Come along and have fun, there's plenty for the whole family to do.

Sitting with Santa is a no-go due to health restrictions, however the team behind the pageant have come up with an innovative neon lights display that families can take photos in front of.

There will be a jumping castle, balloon art, circus performers, glitter and body art, music for the kids, and a market.

Entry is free - no need to book - and there will be an array of stalls selling all manner of food and drinks including fish and chips, jam donuts and steak.

"We've got quite a few floats booked in but the more the merrier," Mr Rumball said. Email angela@heardsmenswear.com.au to book yours in. There will be prizes for the best children's, community and business floats.
