Commonwealth Bank Naracoorte branch has donated $500 to Naracoorte Lucindale Community Care Network through a nationwide community donation program.

As part the program, the bank has again pledged to donate a further $400,000 nationally, recognising organisations that make a difference to its communities.

Each Commonwealth Bank branch and customer-facing team has been allocated $500 to donate to causes important to their local community, with Commonwealth Bank's Naracoorte branch team voting to support the great work of Naracoorte Lucindale Community Care Network.

Commonwealth Bank Naracoorte Branch Manager Dianne McCully made a comment on the donation and how it will assist the care network in working to support people in the community.

"More than ever, communities across Australia are feeling the effects of lockdowns and other pandemic-related impacts, so this is one small way we can champion those local organisations who continue to do good work within our community - we are pleased to support Naracoorte Lucindale Community Care Network," Ms McCully said.

"In particular, the support they provide our local community through emergency food vouchers, meals for the homeless or disadvantaged which is organised and run by local volunteers, so it's great to be able to support them in this great work."

Chair of the Narcoorte/Lucindale Community Care Network Erika Vickery was very appreciative of the donation.

"This will enable the network in supporting community people who find they are in need of assistance," Ms Vickery said. "The Community Care Network will continue its work assisting the community in a similar ways in the next year."

Commonwealth Bank prides itself on being committed to 'driving positive change' within the communities it serves, working to make a difference at local level and for all Australians.
